Kto̠ Agön Gri (/kto̠/ /ˈago˞n/ [thin (narrow)] [variable]) is a subtropical City located in S̺ûhahæ Kàhæ Kingdom, Bàze Logu Empire, within the Warren.

The name Kto̠ Agön Gri is derived from the Sylvin language, as Kto̠ Agön Gri was founded by Tshelî, who was culturaly Wood Elf.

Climate

Kto̠ Agön Gri has a yearly average temperature of 8°C (46°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool -10°C (14°F). Kto̠ Agön Gri receives an average of 291 cm/y (114 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Kto̠ Agön Gri covers an area of nearly 33 km2 (13 mi2), and an average elevation of 2856 m (9370 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kto̠ Agön Gri was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1283, by Tshelî. The establishment of Kto̠ Agön Gri was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Tshelî struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Kto̠ Agön Gri as a prison colony.

Kto̠ Agön Gri was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kto̠ Agön Gri is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Kto̠ Agön Gri is buildings are arranged within a network of premissive packed earth streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Kto̠ Agön Gri's frontieer-style defences has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Kto̠ Agön Gri has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Kto̠ Agön Gri’s streets. Yet, deep down, you know this atmosphere is a carefully created illusion. You can see the ocasional seam in their tapestry. You’re not sure what has them doing their best to act so carefree, but act carefree they do.

Kto̠ Agön Gri has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Two or more groups of citizens within Kto̠ Agön Gri hate each other. Their neighbors or the local law have kept things from too-overt violence, but members of the groups will constantly interfere with their rivals and cause whatever misery they can get away with. This hate may spring from recent events, or it may be an inherited spite from old wrongs.

Kto̠ Agön Gri's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is recurring in Kto̠ Agön Gri.

The Skinstitch near Kto̠ Agön Gri are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Kto̠ Agön Gri's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves bloodletting to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 3 via throat chanting.
